About Zoe Baysting

"Zoe Baysting is a Northern Irish impressionist artist. She approaches her work from an emotional and aesthetic point of view and focuses on how a painting can positively affect the theme and atmosphere of a room. Zoe’s art is about layers and textures as well as keeping it light-hearted and seemingly airy. Her inspirations come from the impressionist greats such as Monet, Turner and Twombly, however, she adds that absolutely anything can inspire her. ‘Anything can be translated and poured onto canvas,’ she explains. ‘I can get inspiration from the simplest of things, from generally aesthetic elements in nature such as the colouring of peonies, to beautifully written quotes and phrases. For example, Hemingway’s, “When spring came, even the false spring there were no problems except where to be happiest.”’
